In fact, the real reasons are roughly as follows:

Firstly, changes in the natural environment. The retreat of glaciers led to reduced river flow and land desertification, causing Loulan to be abandoned.

Secondly, the shift of political and economic centers. After the Jin Dynasty, the Silk Road route changed to the northern route, and the garrisoning and farming activities of the Central Plains in Loulan moved northward, gradually causing Loulan to be forgotten by people.

But these are not the true reasons. The real reason is that human activities disrupted the harmony of nature. While creating highly advanced civilizations, they also destroyed forests, grasslands, and rivers at an astonishing speed, turning the land into deserts, leading to the disappearance of Loulan.

Yi Du is a mysterious tribal organization from prehistoric times. No one knows where it is, how it came into being, or what it does. There was once a theory that Yi Du was an alien civilization from outer space or another star system, but who knows! The connection between Loulan and Yi Du began over a thousand years ago during an unprecedented sandstorm.

At that time, the people of Loulan were facing the dire situation of land desertification, water shortages, and epidemics, preparing for a national exodus when they encountered that terrifying sandstorm. It was said to be a massive scene: dark skies, flying sand and rolling stones. In the hazy confusion, Loulan disappeared suddenly...

Just as death was approaching, King Yuan Meng of Loulan prayed to heaven, willing to sacrifice his life in exchange for the survival of the people of Loulan. Suddenly, there was a loud noise, and a beam of white light flashed in the west, illuminating the entire sky like daylight. People felt as if they were under a spell, unable to move, with constant thunderous sounds in their ears. Then, their bodies became weightless, as if the space had collapsed, and everyone lost consciousness.

When people woke up again, they found themselves in a strange fertile land. A faint voice seemed to echo in their ears: "You have suffered the devastating revenge of nature. Yi Du has saved you. From now on, for the next 1500 years, you will not be able to contact your original world." From then on, the people of Loulan started a new life here. Since they didn't know where they were, they called this place the "Mysterious City."
