With the development of network globalization, e-commerce is being applied more and more in China's economic development. Domestic experts have predicted that in the next 10 years, China will need 2 million e-commerce talents. However, since e-commerce is an emerging discipline, from concepts and theories to applications, it is still in the exploratory and research phase. This brings some special problems and difficulties to the cultivation of e-commerce talents that are not present in traditional fields.

E-commerce refers to the use of electronic information networks and other electronic means for commercial activities, which is the electronic and networked realization of the entire trading process. Its connotation refers to a general term for various economic activities centered on commodity transactions, carried out efficiently and at low cost by people who master information technology, business theory, and practical activity rules, using various electronic tools systematically in an information network environment in a highly developed modern society with advanced technology and economy.

E-commerce is a composite made up of information technology, infrastructure, commercial processes, products, and services, which determines that the required e-commerce talents are multi-level, comprehensive, and practical talents. Therefore, the work of cultivating e-commerce talents should be carried out selectively in different levels and forms. It is necessary to establish a diversified awareness, focusing on current needs, and cultivate multi-type e-commerce talents to meet different demand levels. The cultivation of e-commerce talents can be divided into the following steps:

3. Specific implementation of talent cultivation. First, give full play to the leading role of colleges and universities in talent cultivation, gradually improve the construction of teaching experimental facilities, create a suitable hardware environment, so that students can conduct practical training with the help of computer networks and related software, master the basic principles and operation techniques of e-commerce, learn how to collect, process, and publish e-commerce information, understand online marketing environments, strategies, methods, electronic payments, network transactions, and safety management, and enhance their ability to participate in social competition; secondly, actively cooperate with relevant enterprises to establish e-commerce education internship bases, allowing students to engage in e-commerce practical activities, familiarize themselves with domestic and international trade, import and export businesses, foreign trade letters of credit knowledge, and master enterprise business processes, improving their level and ability in practice; additionally, strengthen the management and supervision of other e-commerce talent cultivation institutions, promoting the orderly progress of e-commerce education and the improvement of teaching quality.

First, the demand for e-commerce talents: The technical support layer consists of technical e-commerce talents, whose characteristics are proficiency in e-commerce technology, mastering the latest developments in e-commerce technology, while possessing sufficient modern business knowledge, good at understanding business needs, knowing "how to do" e-commerce, and able to implement and satisfy these needs with the most effective technical means. These personnel mainly focus on the technical aspects of e-commerce, such as network construction, system management, web page creation, program development, etc.

1. Comprehensive management of talent cultivation. Gradually increase the government's support for e-commerce talent cultivation. A joint meeting system for talent education and cultivation can be implemented. The joint meeting will consist of personnel, education, planning commission, economic and trade commission, science and technology, information industry departments, responsible for planning, guiding, managing, and supervising the education and cultivation of e-commerce talents, comprehensively formulating annual cultivation plans and medium- to long-term plans, cultivating e-commerce talents that are both Chinese in character and synchronized with the world.

4. Categorized personnel training. Categorize the domestic personnel who need to learn e-commerce for categorized training: Technical personnel in the IT field mainly enrich their knowledge of commerce and economic management, focusing on concentrated training in online marketing, supply chain management, corporate restructuring, process reconstruction, etc.; general enterprise decision-makers and leaders at all levels need to quickly understand the latest technologies in other areas involved in e-commerce, focusing on concentrated training in Internet, secure electronic transactions, databases, etc.; students in school not only need to systematically and comprehensively study the knowledge involved in e-commerce but also pay attention to the study of interdisciplinary knowledge. Ordinary people need to learn about the basics of the Internet, e-commerce, online payment, online certification, network security, laws and regulations involved in e-commerce, as well as the use of emails and electronic currencies, which can be popularized through distance education.

Second, the cultivation of e-commerce talents:

In summary, the cultivation of e-commerce talents should start from social needs, summarize past experiences and lessons, and strictly follow objective laws to establish the model and system for cultivating e-commerce talents. Only in this way can we cultivate qualified talents needed by society to meet the development of China's e-commerce economy.

Therefore, the leadership management layer should be high-level managers with basic knowledge of e-commerce. The application operation layer consists of business-oriented e-commerce talents, whose characteristics are proficiency in modern business activities, full understanding of business needs, while possessing sufficient e-commerce knowledge, knowing what e-commerce "can do", and being good at proposing e-commerce application methods to meet business needs. This level of personnel is the largest group, generally not needing to understand the technical details involved in e-commerce deeply, just knowing how to carry out business activities in an electronic manner, and how to use the fast and convenient functions provided by the network to serve business activities.

Abstract: With the development of China's economic globalization, e-commerce plays an increasingly important role in China's economic development, yet there has always been a shortage of e-commerce talents in our country. Therefore, accelerating the cultivation of a large number of compound e-commerce talents who master modern information technology, modern commerce theory, and combine it with commercial activities is the key to promoting the development of China's e-commerce.

2. Course settings should have unified standards. E-commerce cannot simply be merged into computer application majors, nor can it directly belong to traditional marketing or economic trade, but is a completely new interdisciplinary subject. An expert joint review system should be established, inviting domestic and foreign e-commerce experts to study course settings and formulate unified standards to promote the standardization of e-commerce education and improve the applicability of talent cultivation.

E-commerce requires talents divided into three levels: the leadership management layer consists of high-level e-commerce talents, whose characteristics are a thorough understanding of the overall situation of e-commerce, knowing "why to do" e-commerce, and being familiar with at least one industry or one mode of e-commerce theory and application. They can analyze and grasp the characteristics and trends of e-commerce development from a strategic perspective. E-commerce involves customs, finance, commodity inspection, insurance, transportation, foreign trade management, and other links. Its application requires relevant parties to establish a mutually collaborative cooperative relationship.
