It is already the last day of the 3-day Web 2.0 Summit, which is a leading conference in the Web 2.0 era. The three-day event, held in San Francisco, has been bustling with numerous sessions and discussions covering all aspects of Web 2.0, from Advertising 2.0 to net neutrality, from World of Warcraft to Enterprise 2.0. The Web 2.0 Summit is an expert-level conference focusing on business models and corporate strategies that dominate in the Web 2.0 era, but it does not delve into the technical and methodological aspects of designing and implementing Web 2.0 services and products. These topics will be covered at the upcoming Web 2.0 Expo in April, which is a larger, trade-show style event taking place at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.
The conference began with John Musser's presentation of Tim O'Reilly's famous five-page description of Web 2.0 (which John had commented on in his report), and featured an interesting launchpad session where a series of new and intriguing Web 2.0 sites were introduced.
