The six sectors include: Shanghai Changxing Marine Equipment Industry Base Investment Project; Shanghai Chenjia Town Modern Service Industry Agglomeration Area Project (i.e., International Forum Business District); Shanghai Chongming Industrial Park Production Service Industry Area Project; Chongming Modern Agricultural Park Green Food Processing Demonstration Base Six Agricultural Product Deep Processing Projects; Four plots of Chongming Hanting Hotel and Linzhongyuan Hotel Project; Chongming New City Commercial Service Area Project, introducing real estate projects in appropriate amounts.
Strict implementation of environmental access during investment attraction
Yesterday, Vice County Magistrate Li Zhihong, who is in charge of investment attraction in Chongming County, told reporters: "Before the opening of the Yangtze River Tunnel Bridge, some enterprises were still hesitant about investing in Chongming, but now they have all determined their investment intentions." However, Li Zhihong indicated that during the process of attracting investment, Chongming would strictly screen incoming projects, implement strict environmental access, and eliminate or transfer polluting enterprises on the island through technical transformation and other methods.
Vice Mayor Ai Baojun also stated that during the process of attracting investment, Chongming should place ecological protection in a priority position and strive to blaze a new trail in developing a low-carbon economy.
Jinmao Group will build a five-star hotel in the Chenjia Town area
Yesterday, Cheng Erjun, vice president of Jinmao Group, revealed that Jinmao Group will create a comprehensive community in the Chenjia Town area of Chongming Island, integrating a five-star hotel, outdoor ball sports leisure venue, low-density ecological villa area, etc. Currently, the project has signed contracts with internationally renowned planning and architectural enterprises, and the brand of the five-star hotel has been determined, striving to complete this comprehensive community by 2011.
It is understood that the Chenjia Town area is a key development area for Chongming in the future, which will build nine ecological functional areas: Riverside Sports Park, International Forum Business District, Experimental Ecological Community, Yulan New Rural Community, Hanting Express, Wetland Tourist Area, Ecological Agriculture Demonstration Area, Green Industry Area, and Education R&D Area.
Reporters learned that last year, the municipal government organized more than ten experts from different fields to formulate construction indicators for Chongming's economy, society, management, environment, and ecology, including five categories and 24 indicators. During the topic research process, experts referred to the construction of Prince Edward Island in Canada, Long Island in New York, USA, Jeju Island in Korea, and Hainan Island in China.
