Earthquake in the hotel industry: Check out after staying for 24 hours   "If you check in at 8 pm, you can stay until 8 pm the next day to check out." Recently, the new rule of "checkout after staying for 24 hours" launched by Shishi Tiandu Hotel has broken the rule of "check out at 12 noon". Once this news came out, it immediately received praise from a wide range of consumers and also caused strong vibrations in the Shishi inn and hotel industry, pushing airport hotels to the forefront.   Regardless of when you check into the hotel, the industry practice of checking out at 12 o'clock noon has been followed. The newly revised "Code of Practice for China's Tourist Hotels" has deleted the provisions of "check out at 12 o'clock, charge half-day room fee if over 12 o'clock, and charge one-day room fee if over 18 o'clock". This means that the checkout time at 12 o'clock will no longer be an industry rule. However, it seems that the Shishi hotel industry "didn't feel" about this new policy, and the checkout time did not change as a result.   General Manager Chen Taoyi of the hotel told reporters that for consumers, regardless of when they check into the hotel, the uniform checkout at 12 o'clock noon indeed has a taste of "tyrannical clause", and is also unfair to guests who check in late at night. Therefore, in recent two years, he has been brewing the new checkout rule of "checkout after staying for 24 hours", but the conditions have not been ripe enough. The issuance of the new "Code of Practice for China's Tourist Hotels" provided a policy basis for his idea, making the "checkout after staying for 24 hours" operable.   Some hotels said they could not accept the practices of hotels near the airport. Currently, regarding the "new checkout policy", some hotels said that according to the hotel room occupancy rate, delaying checkout by one or two hours is achievable, but "checkout after staying for 24 hours" would not be considered temporarily.
