The mother is bedridden. Her son, played by Justin Timberlake, and daughter-in-law, played by Kate Mara, find her husband who has been away from home for many years. He now works for a baseball team and is played by Jeff Bridges. The family hopes to reunite, but the father, known for his peculiar temper, creates numerous difficulties.
