The story takes place in the mid-nineteenth century in Texas, USA. Young John's hometown was raided by a group of bandits, and his parents were brutally murdered. A local Native American, young Tontu, took this homeless brother back to his own tribe. More than ten years later, John has become a handsome young man who has worked hard to become a lawyer. He takes a stagecoach to the small town of Del Rio to look for his brother Dan. On the journey, he meets a young woman named Amy. The stagecoach is intercepted by bandits, and the driver is killed by the bandits. As the stagecoach loses control, John leaps out of the window, climbs onto the driving seat, and drives the coach at full speed. In the end, the bandits still catch up with the stagecoach and rob all the passengers' belongings. With the help of the passengers, John captures two bandits. The stagecoach then arrives at Del Rio, a newly built small town. Here, John meets Amy's uncle Lucas who has come to greet her. Lucas runs a newspaper here, and his niece Amy is an outstanding journalist. Lucas upholds justice and continuously exposes the crimes of the local Cavendish gang in the newspaper to draw people's attention.

One day, while John and his brother Dan are on the street and reunite with Amy, suddenly comes the terrible news that the Cavendish gang attacked Lucas's newspaper office, and Lucas was also killed. John once again witnesses the evil deeds of the bandits and decides to join his brother Dan's anti-bandit militia. The anti-bandit team begins to track the gang, but due to the betrayal of the mole Collins, they fall into the gang's ambush. The whole team is trapped in a valley and subsequently massacred. Although John survives, he is severely injured and barely alive. Tontu passes by here and once again saves John, taking him back to the Native American tribe to recuperate. John practices shooting diligently here, vowing to eliminate the Cavendish gang. By chance, he tames a white horse. All his preparations are now complete. Soon, he goes incognito, wearing an eye patch and accompanied by Tontu, to search for the gang.

Cavendish is a cunning and vicious man. He was originally a US Army major who was expelled from the military for breaking the law. He then fled to Texas, gathering a group of bandits under his command, becoming a tyrant in the area. After returning to the small town, John first punishes the traitor Collins. At this time, Cavendish sets a trap, hijacking the train carrying President Grant and bringing the president back to the bandit's lair. Cavendish uses this to threaten the US government to cede Texas, which he will rule. Upon learning that the president has been kidnapped, John rushes over with Tontu at night. With the help of the white horse, they successfully infiltrate the fortress. John and Tontu plant explosives at all the critical points of the bandit's lair. They find the room where the president is being held and rescue him. Just as they are about to leave the fortress, they are discovered by the bandits. They ignite the explosives, turning the bandit's lair into a sea of fire. John engages in an intense fight with Cavendish. At this moment, the government army arrives in time. Under the personal command of the president, they completely annihilate this group of ferocious bandits. When people celebrate the victory and search for the anti-bandit hero, John once again puts on his eye patch, says goodbye to the president with Tontu, and rides off on his steed toward a new journey.
