The second season of the animation series "Kikou Kamisama" is set to be released this autumn. Recently, the premiere date was announced along with new visuals from the series. The story centers around the protagonist, Natsume Tomochika, who survived a plane crash accident many years ago and met his childhood friend Mizunoha Soushi, who claims to be a guardian spirit. Before starting high school, Tomochika unexpectedly receives a mysterious weapon called "Kikou Kamisama" from a woman in black and is tasked with saving the world using it. He also encounters a shrine maiden claiming to be a demon, as well as the student council president who is similarly haunted by ghosts. The story unfolds around these various characters. The light novel series "Kikou Kamisama" is written by Mikado Sanjo and illustrated by Kori. Since last year, the manga adaptation has been serialized by Akira Akiyuki. The second season will be directed by Keizo Sugawa, just like the first season, and is scheduled to air on various Japanese channels starting from the specified date.
