"MASH" depicts two American military doctors, Donald Sutherland and Elliott Gould, serving in a mobile army surgical hospital during the Korean War. They treat the war with indifference, spending their days either flirting with nurses or playing golf in the camp. The doctors at this U.S. mobile army surgical hospital spend their days not on their duties but flirting with nurses and mocking each other or plotting against one another. With various jokes and constant bickering, the film loosely portrays American soldiers during the Korean War. This farce ultimately concludes with a vulgar curse: "Fuck the army."
