Boxstr beta - Offers 5GB of free online storage space

Boxstr is an online storage service provider that allows you to upload pictures, videos, and documents. Currently, Boxstr offers 5GB of free space. Additionally, you can also purchase plans with 20GB or unlimited folders. Of course, the annual fee for this service is as high as $60. However, in my opinion, 5GB of space is already quite sufficient.

Through this service, you can share your photos and videos on social networking sites such as Myspace, Hi5, and Piczo. Boxstr will directly provide access links, HTML embed codes, and BB codes for these multimedia contents. At the same time, you can also obtain links and codes without registering as a user by using public uploads. You can browse public uploaded files, but perhaps to the disappointment of some people, searching functionality is not currently available.

Even more tempting, Boxstr will give away free space to any user who places the Boxstr logo on other websites or promotes Boxstr on sites like Digg and StumbleUpon. It's indeed very attractive. This might lead Boxstr to promote its website at all levels. Unlike Box.net and Egnyte, it does not have file sharing or other social features. Yuntaa and Zoomr also offer similar services.
