A thirty-year road of wind and rain

Azhi, an unlucky and simple country girl, was originally in love with a painter named Qiming. But deceived by her mother, she ended up marrying into a wealthy family to Wen Shou, who suffered from illness and often self-abused, making him very secluded and isolated. Yet, he fell in love with Azhi at first sight. After Azhi married into the Zhang family, one misfortune after another occurred. The superstitious mother-in-law blamed everything on Azhi, thinking she was a bad omen, and gradually became hostile towards her. However, the kind-hearted Azhi faced the family members calmly. No matter how they schemed and tried to harm her, she didn't hold grudges and gradually saw Wen Shou's virtues and his care for her, building feelings for each other.

Azhi's father-in-law, Zhang Yaokun, saw the virtue of sincerity that his own children lacked in Azhi and began to value her, inviting her to work in the company. With the nourishment of love, Wen Shou's health improved day by day. Zhang Yaokun started letting Wen Shou take on important positions in the company. Wen Fu, Zhang Yaokun's eldest son, and Wen Si, the fourth daughter, felt threatened by Wen Shou and Azhi. Wen Fu was openly unfriendly to them and often let them clean up his messes. Wen Si, with her deep scheming, subtly slandered Azhi but often failed, making Zhang Yaokun value Azhi even more. When Azhi gave birth to a child named Ruan, who was much loved by the elders, Wen Si became even more jealous of Azhi. When Ruan was five years old, Azhi discovered that her husband had autism and was overwhelmed with guilt and depression. In a car accident, he lost his life suddenly, and Azhi was condemned by many. Qiming returned from abroad and learned about Azhi's plight, often consoling her. A younger sister-in-law spread rumors that Azhi had an affair and caused the death of her second brother, even claiming she was pregnant with someone else's child. The mother-in-law believed the rumors and was angry, wanting to drive Azhi out of the house. Fortunately, the reasonable father-in-law finally believed Azhi and even handed over the control of the company to her.
