Five American prisoners of war, while being escorted to a military court, revolted and fled together to the neutral country of Switzerland due to unbearable abuse by the military police. However, upon encountering German troops at the border, they were subsequently surrounded by French guerrillas. It turned out that the German soldiers they had killed were actually American officers with important missions, such as Lieutenant Yeager and others. Consequently, they decided to atone for their crimes by completing the mission for them, which led them back into the enemy-occupied territory.
