Blue Thunder

The secret weapon of the police force, the Blue Thunder, weaves through the towering skyscrapers, its firepower enough to devastate half a city. A group of corrupt police officers intend to use it for illegal activities. Frank Murphy, the pilot, is falsely accused and hunted down because of his knowledge. Determined to break through the encirclement and eradicate the criminals, Murphy embarks on his mission.

Blue Thunder is a specially modified helicopter developed by scientists. Initially designed as a tool to assist police operations, after being armed, it was reimagined as a secret weapon to suppress street rebellions. Its firepower is potent enough to destroy numerous large buildings and even entire cities. Once its design was perfected, its creators wanted to test its power but needed to train a pilot. They approached Los Angeles police officer Frank Murphy. Murphy underwent the training and learned how to utilize this new aircraft within an urban environment. However, during a flight back from Vietnam, Murphy had disagreements with the program's original pilot. As their conflicts deepened, Murphy began to question whether the true purpose of Blue Thunder was different from what he had been told. Someone was attempting to use it for illegal deeds. Consequently, Murphy became a target, leading to the beginning of a fierce showdown.
