The agony of autumn

This film is adapted from the eponymous novel, which once won the annual novel award of the Turkish Writers Association. The son of a large landlord, a young nationalist named Behcet, falls in love with a Greek girl who makes her living through sex work. However, in that era when Turkish-Greek relations deteriorated again, in that land shrouded in shadows, Behcet finds himself caught in a struggle between love, friendship, and politics.
