BusinessWeek.com took a stab at ranking the richest of these residents. Virtual real estate has been one of the most lucrative industries in virtual worlds from the get-go. Ailin Graef, the biggest virtual land baron, became Second Life's first millionaire last November. Some other Second Lifers have gotten rich by consulting with real-world companies moving into the virtual one. Other fast bucks in the virtual world can be found in clothing design and avatar creation.
