Enter Web 2.0 to solve this problem. Keep your data always online and easily accessible via permanent links, right? Social data aggregation sites like del.icio.us put that precious useful information at your fingertips. Flickr even lets you store massive amounts of private photos on the server side. But these services are tailored for specific types of data rather than based on users' most basic and long-term needs. And they can't even tag this data as private!
Storage on the Web brings with it a host of issues, and these issues really need to be addressed by Web 2.0, as they are closely related to our daily lives.
