Tim Berners-Lee and the early Web

In March 1989, when personal computers were new to many people and few outside the scientific community had heard of the word Internet, Tim Berners-Lee of CERN developed a protocol to solve the problem of information loss in complex evolutionary systems. A solution based on distributed hypertext system is proposed. The Web was born, which eventually led to Facebook, eBay, Google, iTunes, YouTube, Pets.com, and blogs.
