Today, I finally waited for the official release of WordPress 2.7. I didn't dare to test the previous beta versions because they were unstable. Now everything is good. The backend of WordPress 2.7 has undergone significant changes; the layout of each operation menu has been altered, so new users will need some time to get familiar with it. Let me share my own upgrade experience. First, I backed up my database using a plugin. During the upgrade process, there weren't any major issues, and my preparation was pretty thorough. You can also back up in your virtual hosting environment. It's best to disable all backend plugins to avoid compatibility problems after the update. Then, upload the new WordPress 2.7 files. Be sure to pay attention to the theme folder and plugin folder inside the wp-content folder (to prevent loss). I didn’t upload updates for these folders but only updated the languages folder and the index.htm file.
