VirSCAN is a non-profit website that provides free services to a wide range of netizens. It uses the latest versions of virus detection engines provided by multiple manufacturers to perform online scans on suspicious files you upload and can immediately display the results, thereby offering you suggestions on the level of suspicion.

VirSCAN cannot replace the antivirus software installed on your personal computer, so it cannot provide real-time protection for your system security. VirSCAN can only help you determine whether the files or programs you consider suspicious are indeed problematic.

VirSCAN was spontaneously organized and established by a few antivirus enthusiasts. It is not a profit-driven website nor an open-source project. The service it provides is free and public welfare-oriented.
