According to the CCTV Xinwen Lianbo (News Broadcast), the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine recently carried out special inspections nationwide on melamine content in infant milk powder. The phased inspection results show that melamine in different contents has been detected in 69 batches of products from 22 infant milk powder manufacturers. CCTV reported on September 16 that the quality inspection department broadcasted the test result of melamine in infant milk powder. Melamine was detected in 69 product batches of 22 factories including Yili, Mengniu, Guangming, Shengyuan and Beingmate, which were required to be immediately removed from shelves.
