[Sohu IT News] Beijing Time, September 2nd: According to multiple foreign media reports, Google will launch a World Wide Web browser named Chrome, which could be released as early as tomorrow, allowing users to download and use it.

—Google Chrome will be developed based on the same open-source browser engine Webkit as Safari and will be integrated with Google Gears;

—Google Chrome will have a built-in independent JavaScript virtual machine V8 to improve the speed of the browser running JavaScript;

—The web tabs in Google Chrome will be located at the outer edge of the program window, not at the edge of the web content;

—The address bar in Google Chrome is called "omnibox," supporting automatic completion of input functionality.
