Today, I came across a laptop anti-theft alarm software called Laptop Alarm that seems quite practical. If someone moves your laptop, it will emit a very loud alarm, similar to a security door or a theft detection gate at a supermarket. Even if your laptop is on silent mode, it will still sound an alarm loud enough for you or people around you to hear. This small software, which is only about 200K in size, can only run on the Windows system (it seems Macs are more likely to get stolen...). After launching it and clicking "Lock Computer", it will automatically lock the screen, and only you can unlock it by entering a password (another kiosk program!). Now you can leave your laptop with peace of mind. So, what are the conditions that trigger its alarm?
