In the Beijing outbound training, encouragement is very important. We all need encouragement from others in our daily lives and work. When doing high-altitude projects like climbing the sky ladder, since this project requires two people to cooperate and it's a highly challenging one, teammates' loud encouragement before the project is crucial. It will make you feel full of energy and strength, laying a good foundation for the successful completion of the challenge. Similarly, during the mutual cooperation of climbing high peaks, encouragement between the two people is also needed. Without such encouragement, when encountering an insurmountable obstacle, it would be easy to give up.
A long time ago, there was a very famous performing artist who took his apprentices to perform. In the backstage, someone noticed that the famous artist's shoelaces were untied. The person walked up to the master and said, "Your shoelaces are untied." The master looked down and indeed found his shoelaces were untied, so he thanked the person and tied them up. However, after the apprentice went far away, the master untied the shoelaces again. The reason was simple: the role he had to play in the performance required the shoelaces to be untied. Why didn't the master directly tell the apprentice? Originally, the master wanted to not dampen the enthusiasm and passion of the young apprentice, thus giving him great spiritual encouragement. In fact, encouragement is very simple, as long as we observe carefully. Many times, we need to encourage others, and we also need encouragement from others.
During the outbound training process, coaches pay great attention to the encouragement among team members. Without encouragement, it would be difficult for us to complete tasks. In life, things don't always go smoothly, and we encounter many difficulties and obstacles. This requires encouragement and help from our family and friends around us, which will help us overcome difficulties in life. The same applies at work. One day, if we make a mistake or fail to complete our work smoothly, criticism would lead to known consequences. However, if we receive encouragement, the result would be completely different. Therefore, encouragement is very important in both work and life. Outbound trainers once told us such a story to warn everyone.
