Southeast Network - Strait Herald December 18th report (reporter Zheng Ruiqing): At around 2:00 AM on December 17th, in the Taho Cleaning Building section of Victory East Road in Zhangzhou, a car collided with a guardrail and a street lamp. Strangely, when the man in the car saw the police officer, he ran off. Upon investigation, it was discovered that he was suspected of drunk driving.

The vehicle with the license plate number "MN EJ25xx" had its left side severely damaged, the door was seriously deformed, the street light bulb was completely shattered, and broken glass was scattered all over the ground. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

The on-duty police officer chased the fleeing man to the Bada Building before managing to control him. The man was 20 years old, surnamed Lai, and from Yunxiao County. Lai claimed that he was not the driver; it was his newly acquainted friend who drove the car, and they had just come out of Jinbi Huiguang.

Eyewitnesses at the scene said that the car was moving very fast and continued to travel 6-7 meters after hitting the street lamp before stopping. Three men got out of the car; one was Lai, and the other two were about 20 years old. One of them was carrying a white bag, and they ran towards the underpass of the flyover.

The on-duty police officer immediately began a search and found the two men in an alley in Tahou Village. These two men were identified as He and Lin, both from Yunxiao. The car keys were also found on He.

He claimed that he studied in the Computer Science department at a certain university in Xiamen, and he returned to Zhangzhou for fun over the weekend. The car belonged to his family, and he even said, "Let me go, and I'll give you any amount of money."

None of the three admitted who was driving the car. However, these three men did not have driver's licenses and were suspected of drunk driving.
