Approved by the Ministry of Health (Letter [2006] No. 162), under the strong support of the Education, Science, Culture, Health and Sports Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the National Ethnic Affairs Commission, the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and other units, the "TCM Development Forum" jointly organized by the International Foundation for Exchange of Medical Sciences in China, Chinese National Health Association for Minority and inscribed by Academician Wu Jieping, former vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress has successfully held four sessions, receiving direct support from relevant national leaders such as Zhou Tienu, Abdulaiti Abudureshit, Gu Xiulian, Zhang Huaixi, ministerial leaders such as Lee Dae-soo, Wang Guoqiang, Li Daning, and many academicians and experts, arousing widespread influence in the field of traditional Chinese medicine. Traditional Chinese medicine is a treasure of the Chinese nation and an important manifestation of Chinese culture. With its heavy cultural heritage and medical model, TCM is increasingly understood by the masses around the world, and the services provided by TCM are increasingly accepted by people in various countries around the world. TCM is moving towards the world and influencing the world, becoming a historical trend. On the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the founding of the TCM Development Forum, the International Foundation for Exchange of Medical Sciences in China and the Chinese National Health Association for Minority decided to jointly sponsor the "Fifth TCM Development Forum and TCM Going Global (Beijing) Summit" in Beijing from June 18-20, 2010.

In addition to conducting in-depth discussions on hot issues such as the current situation, challenges, and countermeasures, inheritance, innovation, and cooperation in the development of TCM in our country, this forum will also specifically discuss TCM going global and influencing the world, and compile "The Precious Mirror of Chinese Medicine" for promotion at home and abroad. At that time, relevant national leaders, leaders of relevant ministries and commissions, and well-known experts and scholars in the field of TCM at home and abroad will be invited to attend the meeting.
