Our staff reporter (Wang Mei Zheng Aimei intern Wang Ruifen) - Tan Li, who lives in Nanning, Guangxi, came to Xian on October 1st to visit friends. Little did anyone know that he would not return and it's been more than 20 days now with no contact from him. Only occasionally does he call home asking for money. This has made his family suspect that he may have been lured into a pyramid selling scheme. On the morning of November 20th, two weary middle-aged men approached the reporter saying they were Tan Li's uncle and cousin respectively. They said Tan Li had been in Xian for over 20 days with no contact. They had come to Xian to look for him. Knowing her grandson was missing in Xian, Tan Li's grandmother cried every day at home. His mother and father were so worried that they couldn't eat or drink, and ended up in hospital. On the evening of the 19th, Tan Li's uncle and cousin arrived in Xian hoping to find him. They told the reporter that there had been a phone call saying Tan Li was in the Baqiao Rehabilitation Hospital. The reporter accompanied them to this hospital where the hospital staff informed them there was no one by the name of Tan Li there. Most patients were local people and were accompanied by their families. There was only one person from Sichuan who also had family with him. With no other options, the uncle reported the matter to the nearby police station, hoping the police could help them find Tan Li as soon as possible.
