Nanning ASEAN Economic Development Zone in Guangxi recently held a working conference on the economic and social development work of 2012, after which more than 50 participants respectively visited Dongxing City and Port Area of Fangchenggang in Guangxi for study. According to introduction, the visiting study delegation of the Development Zone went to Jingping Industrial Park in Dongxing City to examine Jintan Pipe Industry and Yicheng Food Development Co., Ltd. Members of the visiting study delegation listened to introductions, walked through workshops, examined factory construction on-site and learned about the operation situation of the factory. The high-tech project of Yicheng Food is an industrial transfer processing trade project from the eastern region to the Dongxing City. It began construction in November 2008. The project adopts high technology to develop marine products and deep-processing agricultural by-products production. At present, it has passed the review of the demonstration zone of industrial tourism, filling the blank of the Fangchenggang industrial tourism demonstration zone. Seeing the advanced management concept of Yicheng Food, the inspection team expressed that they must seriously learn and take the advanced management concept of Yicheng Food back to the Development Zone. Currently, Nanning ASEAN Economic Development Zone is also actively planning to build a "tourism development zone", promoting modern industrial tourism. The Development Zone needs to emulate the advanced management concept of Yicheng Food, avoid detours, use the shortest time to create the industrial tourism route of the Development Zone, so that more people know about the Development Zone, visit the Development Zone, and understand the Development Zone. Subsequently, the inspection team also came to the Dongxing Jingzu Museum to learn about the historically rich Jingzu culture, and then detailedly understood the historical evolution, entry-exit dynamics, customs clearance flow, etc. of the Dongxing mutual market trade zone and Dongxing port. On the morning of the 23rd, the visiting study delegation went to the Port Area of Fangchenggang City for inspection and study. Accompanied by the person in charge of the Port Area, members of the visiting study delegation watched the exhibition of Fangchenggang City picture achievements at the Beibu Gulf Square in the Port Area, and then went to the Daxinan Linhai Industrial Park to visit the Fangchenggang nuclear power station and Jinchuan non-ferrous metal processing projects. On the temporary viewing platform of Phase I of the Fangchenggang nuclear power station project, the person in charge of Fangchenggang Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. introduced the site selection, technical route, safety facilities, and progress of the Fangchenggang nuclear power project. The Fangchenggang nuclear power station is one of the 23 key projects of the western development of China and the first nuclear power station in the minority regions. The No. 1 unit and No. 2 unit officially started construction on December 28, 2010, and will be completed and put into commercial operation in 2015 and 2016 respectively. The Jinchuan non-ferrous metal processing project is the largest nickel producer and the largest copper producer in the north. According to the plan, the total investment of the Jinchuan project is over 30 billion yuan, which is a brand-name project and a leading project for Fangchenggang City's development of coastal metallurgical industry. Seeing one major project after another in the Port Area, every member of the visiting study delegation felt deeply impressed. The personnel of the Nanning ASEAN Economic Inspection Team indicated that although there have been new breakthroughs in the investment promotion work of the Development Zone in recent years, large enterprises, group enterprises, Fortune Global 500 companies, and state-owned enterprises are still relatively few. During this inspection and study process, they need to learn advanced investment promotion concepts and methods from the investment promotion department of the Port Area, apply what they have learned to their actual work, promote large-scale investment promotion in the Development Zone, and achieve new growth and new breakthroughs in the industrial development of the Development Zone.
