The party spirit and personal analysis of the article "How to Carry Forward the Advanced Nature of Party Members" has once again played an extremely important role since the 16th CPC National Congress. It is a powerful theoretical weapon for self-improvement and development of China’s socialist system, representing the collective wisdom of the Chinese Communist Party. Moreover, it serves as the fundamental guiding principle for the whole Party and people in the new century and future times, aiming towards the magnificent goal of building a moderately prosperous society. This must be upheld long-term as a guiding ideology. It always represents the development requirements of China’s advanced productive forces, the direction of China’s advanced culture, and the fundamental interests of the overwhelming majority of people.
As grassroots Communist Party members working in libraries, how can we practice the advanced nature of the party in our ordinary work? First, establishing the correct service aim is the premise of practicing the advanced nature. The first perspective is the same: based on their own capabilities, one should strive to do selfless work. Efforts should be made to raise the consciousness of serving the people so that in the future, one can truly serve the people wholeheartedly and become a qualified party member.
Secondly, improving one's own quality to change the service mode is the guideline for practicing the advanced nature, fully embodying the requirements. Combining with one's own departmental realities, creative work should ensure the effective implementation of the party’s line, principles, policies, and central deployments. One should be good at adapting to changes in objective circumstances, detecting and studying new problems and contradictions in advance, constantly improving and refining one's work, and continuously learning from the masses' practical experiences to create fresh experiences.
As a librarian, one should promptly and widely understand and grasp the latest developments in domestic and international library and information industry trends and scientific research to broaden horizons, update concepts, and enrich knowledge. Adapt to the characteristics of library information resources being digital and networked, providing readers with new and open services. In a network environment, utilizing modern information technology for the development of information resources, pilot production, and delivery of unique information products and services, advancing information services towards industrialization.
In the practice of the advanced nature, play the vanguard and exemplary role of the party by conscientiously studying Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory, and the Party’s line, principles, policies, and resolutions, learning the basic knowledge of the party, science, culture, and business knowledge. Enhance the quality of party members, master the knowledge and skills necessary for doing their jobs well, strive to create first-class results, and really play their vanguard and exemplary role. At the same time, strengthen the management and supervision of Party members to ensure that they adhere to standards, do not confuse the general public, and truly become a vanguard, meeting the requirements of the vanguard and exemplary role.
This role should be reflected in the following aspects:
First, keep in mind the purpose of austerity and dedication to the interests of the masses. Strive to measure oneself according to the interests of the people.
