According to a September 18th report from the British Daily Mail, an 81-year-old British couple reunited online after 65 years and finally married. The bride, Mary Lainis, and the groom, John Akins, met when they were both seven years old and grew up together like childhood sweethearts. Later on, John joined the Royal Air Force as an aircraft technician and frequently traveled around the world, leading to their breakup and loss of contact.

However, 65 years later, John accidentally found Mary's email address. He immediately sent her an email, asking his first love for a meeting.

"At first, I was afraid to see him because I thought my wrinkles would disappoint him. But my daughter told me that time cannot erase the traces of age, and I would still be the most beautiful in John's heart," Mary said, "Now I am glad I had the courage to meet him; he is still very handsome."

On September 17th, the two seniors held a grand wedding at a church in West Yorkshire, with over 200 relatives and friends attending.

"We still have a long time to enjoy life together, and I want to live to 100 years old with John." Mary said happily.
