Ms. Tang, lying in the hospital bed, spoke with lingering fear about what happened the previous evening. Chongqing Evening News reported that a 36-year-old mother was taking her 7-year-old daughter for an evening stroll when a wooden board suddenly fell from above as they were just walking downstairs. In the critical moment, she pushed her daughter aside. The daughter remained unharmed while the mother suffered a fractured scapula on her right shoulder due to the impact of the door panel.

Yesterday, a reporter from the Chongqing Evening News met this mother at the Sixth People's Hospital of Chongqing. Lying in bed at the Second Department of Surgery of the Sixth Hospital, Ms. Tang recounted the incident to the reporter: Her name is Tang Zhenqun, and she resides at Unit 22-2, Building 16, Kangde Guoshan Neighborhood, Furen Road, Nangping. After dinner, she usually takes her daughter downstairs for a walk. At around 7 p.m. the previous evening, just as Ms. Tang and her daughter had walked a few meters away from the stairwell, a piece of wood fell from the sky. Without time to dodge, Ms. Tang quickly pushed her daughter aside, only to be struck by the wooden board herself. She collapsed on the spot. Her daughter, seeing her covered in blood, cried out, "Mom, get up quickly."

The cries for help from Ms. Tang and the weeping of her daughter caught the attention of the neighborhood residents. Subsequently, Ms. Tang was sent to the hospital for treatment and was diagnosed with a fractured scapula on her right shoulder.

Ms. Tang expressed relief that she managed to push her daughter aside, otherwise she couldn't imagine the extent of her daughter's injuries. Her daughter was extremely frightened at the time and it took a long while to calm her down. Ms. Tang stated that she hopes the owner of the wooden board will voluntarily come forward to take responsibility so that such incidents do not occur again in the future.

Mr. He, Ms. Tang's husband, mentioned that the wooden board which hit his wife resembled a cabinet door, white in color, approximately 1 meter high and 0.5 meters wide, with a thickness of 3 to 5 centimeters. After hitting Ms. Tang, the wooden board broke into several pieces.

Ms. Tang also noted that there was strong wind at the time, but whether the fall of the wooden board was due to human error or other reasons remains unknown.

It has been learned that the police have already intervened in the investigation.
