Introduction: On September 22, Premier Wen Jiabao clearly pointed out during his meeting with the China-India Youth Delegation in Beijing that, "China's Tai Chi, calligraphy, tea art, and India's yoga, music, and dance are treasures of the traditional cultures of both countries. Despite different cultural forms, they all contain the beauty of nature, harmony, and inclusiveness. I hope that young friends from both countries can not only exchange and discuss traditional cultural skills but also understand and inherit their spiritual connotations, becoming good friends and partners who respect each other, learn from each other, and progress together."

To better study and implement Premier Wen's speech and respond to the spirit of the State Council's "Regulations on Promoting National Fitness," and promote cultural exchanges between China and India, on December 14, Youji Yoga held a seminar titled "Promote Fitness Yoga, Promote Cultural Exchanges between China and India." They specially invited representatives from sports and education administrative departments, leaders from the National Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, experts and scholars from Peking University and Beijing Sport University, senior yoga scholars from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, editors from Higher Education Press, leaders in sports economic industrial development, as well as media from both China and India. The event was widely representative, academic, and professional. In conjunction with the State Council's issued "Regulations on Promoting National Fitness," discussions were held on the development path of yoga, achieving significant progress and results, laying a theoretical and practical foundation for the future development of yoga.

At the conference, Gongye Min, Director of the External Exchange Center of the General Administration of Sport, summarized the concept of fitness yoga, recognized the success of Youji Yoga in promoting yoga over the past eight years, and hoped that Youji Yoga would respond to national needs, promoting the public welfare, popularization, simplification, and standardization of fitness yoga, establishing a method beneficial to the entire population. Establishing industry standards for fitness yoga based on Youji Yoga’s professional foundation will be an important task to promote the orderly development of fitness yoga. Mr. Huang Xincuan, one of the first honorary members of the Academic Division and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, emphasized the scientific nature of yoga and its therapeutic effects beyond fitness, pointing out the need to leverage yoga's scientific nature for the service of fitness yoga. The Deputy Secretary-General of the China-India Friendship Association proposed that yoga is an excellent medium for cultural exchanges between China and India. From a cultural perspective, yoga serves as a platform for spreading friendship between the two nations. Youji Yoga has made precious efforts in promoting yoga and facilitating cultural exchanges between China and India. The China-India Friendship Association will fully support such exchange activities in the future. Ms. Yin Yan, founder and chairman of Youji Yoga, provided a summary analysis of the development of the yoga industry in China over the past decade. She proposed that professional teaching is a crucial guarantee for the development of fitness yoga, requiring serious standardization of the yoga industry. She expressed her willingness to utilize Youji Yoga's advantages in professional training, establish domestic yoga teaching standards, and make every effort to promote the nationwide fitness movement and the development of the fitness yoga industry. Professor He Wenyi from Peking University's Sports Industry Research Center, Professor Lü Shaojun from Beijing Sport University's Traditional Sports College, and Ms. Cao Jinghua, President of the Social Division of Higher Education Press under the Ministry of Education, all spoke at the conference, offering valuable opinions on the management, guidance, orderly development, and government support of fitness yoga.

The attending experts unanimously believed that to better implement Premier Wen's speech and effectively serve the national fitness campaign through yoga while promoting cultural exchanges between China and India, Youji Yoga should play its unique role. It was decided to invite representatives from sports education and administrative departments, leaders from the National Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, sports industry experts, and professionals to form a Youji Fitness Yoga Industry Standards Development and Promotion Group. This group will develop and promote standards, protect the rights of yoga fitness enthusiasts, maintain a fair competitive market environment, involve all sectors of society in the development of yoga fitness, and jointly participate in and promote the development of the fitness yoga industry.
