According to the Yang police, the suspect Liu admitted repeatedly puncturing tires and stabbing the policeman. He has been criminally detained according to the law. The motive for the crime was initially confessed as "hatred towards the rich".
Recently, vehicles parked on the Yaojiayuan Road near Beijing Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital had their tires punctured at night. After receiving public reports, the Tuanjie Lake Police Station dispatched duty policemen to stake out the incident area every night. In the early hours of the previous day, Zhang Chao and a security guard found a man bending down to inspect a parked car and preparing to damage the tire with a knife. "Don't move!" Zhang Chao shouted loudly and ran quickly towards the suspect with the security guard. Seeing this, the suspect fled immediately. After chasing for more than 100 meters, when Zhang Chao was about 1 meter away from the suspect, the suspect suddenly stopped and turned around, stabbing Zhang Chao with a knife. Unable to dodge in time, Zhang Chao was stabbed in the chest. The security guard on the scene said: "The suspect's knife was over ten centimeters long. As soon as he turned around, he stabbed Zhang Chao. Even after being stabbed, Zhang Chao still tackled the suspect to the ground and tightly controlled his upper limbs." Subsequently, the supporting policemen arrived and subdued the suspect, seizing the folding knife and steel cone used in the crime.
