Police stated that at around 2 PM on January 16, Huang Jiaxin was playing with her younger cousins on a bamboo bed at home while her grandmother was boiling water in the kitchen. Suddenly, a strange man rushed into the house, picked up the male infant who was not yet one year old, and started walking away. Huang Jiaxin immediately ran towards the stranger's black car to try and grab her younger brother back. The stranger then handed the baby to a woman in the passenger seat and drove off. Huang Jiaxin clung onto the left rearview mirror of the car.
According to reports from China News Service in Zhaoqing on February 15 by Huang Yaoguang, Wei Shiming, and Ru Jian, when her almost one-year-old cousin was snatched by a stranger, nine-year-old Huang Jiaxin quickly followed and rushed out of the door, climbing onto the stranger's black car in an attempt to rescue her cousin through the window. The Guangdong Fengkai police announced on the 15th that the kidnapped male infant had been successfully rescued, and a man and a woman suspected of the kidnapping were arrested by the police.
As per the police report, when Mr. and Mrs. Huang Sen from Fengkai County’s Jinzhuang Town Old Street rented house went out to work, they left their parents, three-year-old daughter, and nearly one-year-old son at home, along with their nine-year-old niece Huang Jiaxin.
After receiving the report, the police immediately requested surrounding forces to intercept the suspect vehicle and conducted investigations and interviews at the scene. Through meticulous investigation, the male infant was successfully rescued by the police in Qiaotou Town, Huaiji County. A male and female suspect involved in the crime were also apprehended by the police.
According to the police, the car did not stop but instead accelerated and turned onto the provincial road. While speeding, the man continuously punched Huang Jiaxin's small hands, attempting to throw her off the side of the road. Her shoes fell off, and her heels, toes, and knees were scraped and bled as she was dragged for over 100 meters. Eventually, due to exhaustion, Huang Jiaxin fainted at the entrance of the town health center. She was discovered by a local businesswoman named Mo Xuemin, who assumed it was a car accident and immediately called the police while trying to help.
Mo Xuemin told the police that after recognizing her neighbor Huang Jiaxin, she woke her up. Upon waking, Huang Jiaxin's first words were "My brother is still in the car; he was kidnapped." She promptly reported this again to the police.
