Hertz, the world's number one car rental brand, has officially launched its BYD E6 model rental service in Shenzhen for self-driving, chauffeur services or airport transfers. This is the first time that a high-end 100% pure electric vehicle has been introduced into China’s car rental industry, undoubtedly leading a green revolution in the car rental sector. The introduction of this new energy vehicle coincides with the official opening of Hertz's Shenzhen branch. The BYD E6 will form part of the first fleet at Hertz's Shenzhen branch together with other premium vehicles, providing comprehensive car rental solutions and high-quality rental services tailored to customer needs.

The launch of BYD E6 pure electric vehicle rentals in China is part of Hertz's global promotion plan for green and environmentally friendly vehicles. Driving or riding in this model offers an environmentally friendly, comfortable, and worry-free experience without expensive gasoline costs, bringing a new driving experience for car rental customers. Many people may worry: Is it inconvenient to use a pure electric vehicle? Customers renting this car from Hertz do not need to worry about this, and returning the car after self-driving is even more convenient than using a fuel-powered vehicle. Before each trip, Hertz ensures that the E6 is fully charged, allowing it to travel approximately nine hours, over 200 kilometers, with a maximum range of up to 300 kilometers under composite conditions, fully meeting daily travel needs for either chauffeur services or self-driving rentals. When returning the car, there is no need to recharge it; simply return it directly to a Hertz store for convenience and speed. If rented for more than one day, the vehicle can be charged at any of the nine charging stations within Shenzhen, one of which is located right in front of the Hertz Shenzhen branch parking lot, making it very convenient for both chauffeur services and airport transfers. In fast charging mode, the vehicle can be fully charged in about 40 minutes. Additionally, if you encounter any issues while using the car, you can call Hertz's 24-hour emergency rescue hotline at any time, ensuring prompt assistance and eliminating any worries.

Founded in 1918, Hertz has always been at the forefront of industry development, strongly advocating environmental protection concepts. In North America, Hertz has more than 35,000 green and environmentally friendly vehicles. Last year, Hertz began promoting its global green vehicle plan. Since then, it has successively launched multiple green vehicles such as the Nissan Leaf, Renault, and Tesla sports cars in cities like New York, Washington, San Francisco, and Europe. Hertz's car rental services in Europe and North America are integrated with its car-sharing platform "Hertz On Demand" (formerly known as "Connect by Hertz"). Registered members can complete rental procedures online and then directly go to the Hertz shared vehicle parking lot to swipe a card to start the car and begin their exciting journey. When returning the car, the service fee is deducted directly from the prepaid card on an hourly basis. Combining green vehicle fleets with convenient car-sharing platforms not only greatly alleviates traffic pressure but also provides a practical solution to address environmental pollution problems.
