The analysis of Chinese herbal medicine, specifically Kaempferia galanga, using X-ray diffraction Fourier maps for quality assessment is discussed. Therefore, we can utilize diffraction Fourier fuzzy graphical identification for Chinese herbal medicines. The results identified samples 2#, 3#, and 4# as Kaempferia galanga, samples 1# and 6# as bitter mountain Nai, and sample 5# falls in between but tends more towards Kaempferia galanga, though the reasons require further study. According to the diffraction characteristics, the marked peaks of kaempferol and bitter kaempferol along with fuzzy graphics can be used to quantify the value [d (I / Io)] with the graphical topology for a 2-factor authentication of Chinese herbal medicines. If the chemical constituents of Chinese herbal medicines are considered, using the internal standard method (chemical composition), the same can also apply to using diffraction pattern indicators for the quality testing of herbal medicines.
