Embarrassing Prize Winning Experience
Last time, I mentioned that it was quite a coincidence. Indeed, the beverage I bought is relatively unpopular, with fewer people purchasing it and the supermarket also stocking less of it. They were just trying out selling it by stocking a small amount, but I happened to buy this drink and won a prize. I remember this drink was called "Yuzu Tea", and the supermarket where I bought the beverage was called "Live Show" (生活秀). After buying it, I didn't exchange the prize immediately; instead, I went back the next day to claim it. I think I tried exchanging this winning prize around five times in total, which was quite frustrating. In the end, I still didn't manage to exchange it.
The first time I went to claim the prize, I went straight to the checkout counter and asked the cashier: "Excuse me, I want to exchange my winning prize for another bottle." The cashier seemed uncertain about how to handle it and handed it over to the store manager. The store manager then asked if I had a receipt. I thought this was strange - do you really need a receipt to exchange a prize? It's such a hassle. I had only just bought it a few days ago and had already forgotten about keeping the receipt. So I said, "I bought it from here a few days ago. Do I really need a receipt?" The store manager acted very arrogantly and said that according to their store rules, a receipt is required to exchange prizes. Upon hearing this, I got angry inside. Usually, when we buy things, they don't require us to keep receipts. Sometimes, they don't even give us receipts unless we ask for them. Now, they are acting so formal about it. Feeling aggrieved, I held my temper and replied, "Oh, is that so? Then I'll come back next time to exchange it."
I will continue writing more tomorrow!
