Last night, at http://www.kadaole.com, a middle-aged man in Sanyuanli was stabbed to death. The incident was reported by Li Xiaomeng of the Express Newspaper with photographs.
According to reports from the Express (intern reporter Wu Chunlin, reporter Li Guohui, correspondents Liu Si Jia and Hu Min), at around 5:30 PM yesterday, a murder case occurred in Changtang Street Lane One in Sanyuanli, Baiyun District. A man about 40 years old was fatally stabbed by a man in his twenties in a narrow alley, after which the suspect fled the scene. Currently, the cause of the incident is unclear, and the police are investigating.
At around 7 PM yesterday evening, Changtang Street Lane One, where the incident occurred, was tightly sealed off. Among the onlookers, Mr. Zhang, a local resident, witnessed part of the scene when the incident happened. At around 5:30 PM, Mr. Zhang saw a man in his forties lying on the ground, while a young man in his twenties was yelling at the middle-aged man, "You still want to run? Let's see how you can run!" Mr. Zhang said that the young man continued to curse and then grabbed a scale from a nearby rice shop and viciously beat the middle-aged man who was lying on the ground. After seeing the middle-aged man turn blue, the young man disappeared into the depths of the alley.
After the incident, the owner of the rice shop immediately called the police. According to Master Li, an electrician in the alley, about half an hour after the incident, the police and a 120 emergency ambulance arrived successively. "The doctor said he had been stabbed three times in the back and once in the chest, with the chest wound being the most fatal," Master Li stated. The medical staff announced his death on the spot.
According to Mr. Zhang's description, when the middle-aged man fell to the ground, his right hand was tightly gripping a hundred-yuan note stained with blood. Neighbors described that before falling, the middle-aged man had been chased for five or six hundred meters in the narrow alley by the young man. The neighbors expressed that it didn't seem like a robbery, "It's impossible to kill someone just to rob them of a hundred yuan."
At around 7:30 PM last night, the deceased's body was removed from the scene. Last night, the Baiyun District police reported that since the deceased did not have any identification documents on him, his exact identity needs to be verified. As for the specific cause of the incident, it remains unclear for now. The police urge the public to actively provide clues and simultaneously call on the suspect to surrender as soon as possible.
