Definitions of thickness according to GB150-1998 standard:
(1) Calculated Thickness
The thickness calculated by the formulas in each chapter. When necessary, it should also include the thickness required for other loads.
(2) Design Thickness d
The sum of the calculated thickness and corrosion allowance C1.
(3) Nominal Thickness n
The design thickness d plus the negative deviation of steel thickness C1, then rounded up to the standard specification thickness of steel. This is the thickness marked on the drawing, i.e., drainage plate.
(4) Effective Thickness e
The nominal thickness n minus the corrosion allowance C2 and the negative deviation of steel thickness C1.
(5) The relationship between various thicknesses is shown in the diagram.
(6) Blank Thickness (i.e., Raw Material Thickness)
