It's quite soft and comfortable.

Every summer I like to make some cool clothes. Of course, remodeling old things is often a regular handicraft work. I have remodeled skirts into short sleeves before. My sister gave me a white lace skirt while she was sorting out old clothes, asking me to remake it. The white 8-panel skirt isn't suitable for our age to wear, as it makes people look fat. I thought it would be great to make it into a little blouse!

Since the skirt hem has two rows of lace edges, I got an idea and cut the skirt in half, using the upper part for the top and the lower skirt part for the bottom. Thus, a spliced white blouse was born!

After making it, I tried it on and it felt incredibly soft and comfortable due to its delicate and smooth texture, which is really a good material for making clothes.

This casual transformation actually fits this year's fashion trend. This kind of blouse is quite expensive in the market! Turning a skirt into a blouse, giving old things a new look, is also a good DIY attempt during the current economic crisis. After the renovation, there will be an unexpected effect.

The white 8-panel short skirt.

I made red and white checkered edging and added lace as decoration around the collar.

The remodeled blouse.

This is the back of the blouse, with a half-length white lining inside.

Cutting from both sides of the skirt, I added two small sleeves and put another lace trim at the back for decoration.

Wearing this blouse, we can feel young again, especially because it's cool and comfortable!

The original item was a personal possession of a stylist from many years ago when I was at a hair salon.
