Our reporter (Wang Sheng) - An employer hired a cleaner from a housekeeping service, only for the cleaner to steal gold bars from the employer's home by placing them in a garbage bag while cleaning. Yesterday, I learned that the Fengtai District Procuratorate had approved the arrest of suspect Hu on charges of theft.

On October 18 last year, Mr. Gao reported to the police that gold bars worth more than 30,000 yuan had been stolen from his home. According to Mr. Gao, he had previously purchased two gold bars weighing 100 grams and 200 grams respectively, which he had placed under the bed in his bedroom inside plastic bags. He only discovered their disappearance when he checked on the day he reported the incident.

Mr. Gao recalled that during this period, apart from the cleaner tidying up the house, no one else had been to his home. Because he was concerned about the safety of hiring cleaners from outside, he specifically hired one through a housekeeping company to clean his room. The police later went to the housekeeping company that provided cleaning services to Mr. Gao for an investigation. After questioning, they locked onto Hu, a housekeeping cleaner who had previously cleaned Mr. Gao’s home. The next day, Hu turned herself in at the police station with the gold bars.

Hu confessed that on October 16 last year, she was assigned to clean Mr. Gao's house. While mopping the floor, she saw a bag containing the gold bars. Upon opening it and finding the gold bars inside, she placed them into a garbage bag in the bathroom. Before leaving, she even showed the garbage bag to Mr. Gao, telling him she would throw out the trash. However, Mr. Gao didn't check and agreed without hesitation. Hu easily stole the two gold bars weighing a total of 300 grams. Currently, Hu has been arrested by the Fengtai District Procuratorate on suspicion of theft.
