Two policemen from the Houshayu Police Station were patrolling in Houshayu, Shunyi District at 4:30 PM the day before yesterday when they noticed a toddling boy weaving alone through traffic. The boy was about two years old and could not speak clearly enough to provide more clues. At around 6 PM that evening, the boy's mother got the news and took him home. Soon after, the police took a picture of the boy and distributed it to nearby police stations for assistance in finding his family. They also printed several missing person notices which the police handed out throughout their jurisdiction, enlisting patrol officers and security personnel, and using loudspeakers to broadcast the message in an all-out effort to find leads. (Editor: SN021) According to reports (by reporter Mu Yi and correspondent Li Haibo), the police found a lost child during patrol, and after four hours of effort, helped the boy reunite with his mother.
