Efficacy analysis of stomach complex capsule in treating 50 cases of chronic gastritis shows that the total effective rate was 96%. In the observation group, two cases were ineffective: one case involved elderly patients with concurrent mucosal prolapse and duodenal diverticulum and other geriatric conditions; the other case involved a long-distance truck driver who had improper diet, smoked excessively, consumed alcohol, took medication intermittently, and did not follow the prescribed treatment course. Cimetidine, an H2 receptor antagonist, is effective for acute gastric mucosal lesions but less so for chronic gastritis because it reduces gastric acid secretion and promotes the role of gastrin-releasing protective gastric mucosa cells. Its short-term effects are not significant.

Notoginseng stops bleeding, dissolves stasis, improves gastric mucosal microcirculation, accelerates the reversal of gastric mucosal atrophy, intestinal metaplasia, and dysplasia, and inhibits the carcinogenic effects of H. pylori.
Experts have evaluated the stomach complex capsule to have four unique effects: (1) significantly increasing gastric acidity, reducing acid emissions, enhancing gastric mucosal resistance, and promoting ulcer healing. (2) Relieving spasm, enhancing gastric motility, having sedative and analgesic effects, and being rapidly effective. (3) Inhibiting the reproduction and survival of Helicobacter pylori, which recent studies have identified as a pathogen causing chronic gastritis and peptic ulcers, thus achieving both symptomatic and root-cause treatment. (4) The stomach complex capsule contains natural oncostatin, providing better control over gastric cancer.
Our hospital treated 50 cases of chronic gastritis using the stomach complex capsule, yielding good results, confirming the experts' judgment. Patients taking two courses experienced no side effects, and long-term efficacy remains to be observed.
