In the ongoing "Clean Web Operation", the public security bureaus of various districts and counties have achieved remarkable results. The head of the Héchuān District Public Security Bureau led a team of 12 fugitive pursuit groups to hunt down criminals nationwide. On the basis of continuously setting new records by capturing four fugitives in one day, the bureau used sincere emotional appeals and intensive fugitive pursuits, setting another new record by prompting seven online fugitives to surrender within 11 hours. On November 15th, seven online fugitives either surrendered or were captured.

Yesterday afternoon at around 3 PM, the 25-year-old suspect Wáng was escorted by police officers to the Nánxī gas station on the outskirts of Héchuān for crime scene identification.

This gas station is located about three to four kilometers away from the urban area of Héchuān, with no houses nearby. Apart from passing trucks, few people pass through. Nine years ago, when Wáng was only 16 years old, he had just graduated from elementary school and made a living transporting pigs. One day, Wáng found himself penniless but wanted to smoke and go online. In a moment of impulse, that night he sneaked up to the gas station with a fruit knife and discovered that the duty staff, Zhōu, was inside. He entered the duty room under the pretext of adding engine oil, threatening Zhōu with the fruit knife, and bound Zhōu's hands and feet with a nylon rope before robbing over 1000 yuan in business revenue.

Fearing exposure, Wáng then stabbed Zhōu in the chest, causing an open pneumothorax and massive bleeding, leading to his death. Wáng covered Zhōu with a blanket from the duty room, lit it with a lighter to burn the body, and fled afterwards.

Since Wáng was only 16 years old at the time and very small in stature, while the victim was 19 years old and nearly 1 meter 7 tall, Wáng did not immediately come into the police's line of sight. After the incident, Wáng lived in Héchuān for a year or two, then went out to work elsewhere. In recent years, he returned to Héchuān, making a living by raising pigs and stealing dogs.
