Third-party Facebook messenger

Social.im is an instant messaging software designed specifically for online communities, and it currently focuses on applications for Facebook, as MySpace has long since released its official instant messaging tool. Social.im is currently in the alpha stage, and its functions are relatively limited. Apart from allowing users to send real-time text messages to Facebook contacts, there aren't many other special features available yet.
