From September to October each year is the peak season for job applications in the workplace. The number of recruitment positions in Changsha will increase significantly compared to other months. However, a recent workplace investigation conducted by the human resources service provider "前途无忧" (Translated: "A Bright Future") found that the so-called "Golden September and Silver October" did not bring about a peak season for workplace recruitment.

According to statistics from "前程无忧" (Translated: "A Secure Future"), the number of job postings on its affiliated recruitment websites in September was approximately 2.1 million, showing a slight decrease compared to the previous month. This indicates that companies are still maintaining a cautious观望 (wait-and-see) attitude towards recruitment.

In terms of the nature of recruiting companies, the number of job openings at foreign-funded enterprises decreased by 0.62% in September compared to the previous month. In stark contrast, the number of job openings at state-owned enterprises increased by 1.52% in September compared to the previous month. Private enterprises posted approximately 1.14 million job openings online, an increase of 0.18% compared to the previous month, and they continue to lead among all types of enterprises.

In terms of employment locations, Shanghai posted approximately 400,000 job openings online, a decrease of 0.2% compared to August, but an increase of 24% year-over-year, maintaining the highest number among all provinces and municipalities. Jiangsu province posted approximately 160,000 job openings online, an increase of 1.02% compared to the previous month; Zhejiang province posted approximately 140,000 job openings online, an increase of 0.7% compared to the previous month. This indicates that the Yangtze River Delta region remains the area with the largest demand for talent.

From an industry perspective, aerospace, clothing textiles, and foreign trade saw relatively large increases in the demand for talent in September.
