Fault phenomenon: During washing, the heating element does not heat.
Inspection and Judgment: The heating element is an electric heating component used for heated washes. Its structure consists of an outer wall made of stainless steel tubing, with an internal electric heating wire. Between the inner and outer parts of the heating wire, magnesium oxide powder is filled, which is both temperature-resistant and has insulating properties. At the lead-out end of the heating element, there is an oval-shaped rubber sealing pad. On either side of the sealing pad, there are steel plates. The heating power generally ranges from 0.8 to 2kW and it is installed at the bottom of the outer drum. The reason for the heating element not heating is usually due to a broken fuse in the heating element, or a short circuit or open circuit in the heating element. By using a multimeter on the ohms setting to measure the resistance value between the neutral and phase terminals of the heater, if the resistance value is found to be infinite, this indicates that the heating element has an open circuit.
Repair Method: Replace with the same model heating element to eliminate the fault.
