Distributed Fiber Optic Strain and Temperature Sensing Test System (used for health and safety monitoring of bridges, dams, oil platforms, oil tanks, and large buildings)
The fiber optic sensing system is the latest sensing technology product provided by Micron Optics in the USA.
1. Features: High precision, good sensitivity, high reliability, many measurement points (SI425 can currently reach up to 512 points), large measurement range, simple structure and small size of the sensor head, suitable for various application scenarios, anti-electromagnetic interference, anti-corrosion, capable of working in harsh chemical environments.
2. Applications: Stress-strain and temperature measurements of bridges, dams, buildings, steel structures, aircraft, ships, oil platforms, oil pipelines, concrete, boilers, etc.
3. Application projects: Currently widely used on many bridges, dams, and oil pipelines abroad; also applied on bridges and structures in cities such as Chongqing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen in China.
4. Application prospects: Due to its inherent advantages, fiber optic sensing will replace traditional sensing technologies in the near future. Abroad, it was first used in military applications where extensive research and significant efforts were made, resulting in mature technology that has been adopted in many projects. The country now places great emphasis on the development of fiber optic sensing and has invested substantial funds into it.
5. Price: Compared to resistance strain gauges or other laser technologies, fiber optic sensing offers a more reasonable cost-performance ratio.
6. Mature products include: strain gauges, thermometers, strain sensors, temperature sensors, distributed fiber optic sensors, etc.
