It seems with the election of Serta Klecko, the Philadelphia Eagles have made up their minds on his position of play. Typically, the often d-lineman/fullback accepted a two-year deal with the actual Silver Eagles. The deal will become official after the formalities on Monday.
The former Brown Owl was originally drafted by the New England Patriots in the final round of the 2003 NFL Draft. He is the son of retired New York Sack Exchange member Joe Klecko. Younger Klecko has three Super Bowl appearances that he brings along with him to Philadelphia. He won two of those as a member of the Patriots and then one as a member of the Jets.
This could be Klecko's first real opportunity to take up fullback full-time after spending most of his time at linebacker and defensive line throughout his career. He did have one reception for nine yards against the Patriots in the 2007 AFC Championship Game.
"Consider the 63 opportunities Dan needed," John Sheehy, Klecko's agent, said from his Denver office. "He's played fullback about 300 snaps in his career. This isn't anything new to him. He's always felt he could be an excellent fullback if given the chance to do it full-time."
