The mid-year harvest is approaching, and Huaiyuan County is actively preparing to provide agricultural machinery services both within and outside the county.
This year, the 1.7 million mu (about 170,000 hectares) of wheat in Huaiyuan County will mature at a concentrated time. To ensure that the agricultural machinery does not fail during the mid-year harvest operation, the county's agricultural machinery department has taken early action by organizing agricultural machinery technicians from manufacturers to provide door-to-door services, as well as hosting agricultural machinery technology training courses. They have conducted advance inspections and maintenance on over 5,500 large combine harvesters within the county, including those with straight sickle attachments, and are providing phased technical training for more than 900 new machine operators and agricultural machinery repair workers.
The county is also leveraging the role of the Agricultural Machinery Cross-Regional Operation Association, establishing an "internet" network for cross-regional agricultural machinery operations with multiple counties and districts, such as Tai'erzhuang in Shandong and Suining in Jiangsu, to make early arrangements for introducing agricultural machinery. Additionally, they are actively guiding agricultural machinery supply departments, sales, and repair outlets to conduct market research and predictions, raise funds, and stock up on agricultural machinery products and easily damaged spare parts to ensure sufficient supplies during the mid-year harvest period.
