Nongke Humin Breeding Farm specializes in breeding golden head centipedes and feed yellow mealworms, integrating breeding, sales, and product recovery into a large-scale farm. With a pragmatic and honest approach, we help a wide range of customers breed golden head centipedes and feed yellow mealworms, achieving the greatest return on the least investment.
Central China Agricultural University Support: A key university under the national "211 Project" – Central China Agricultural University collaborates with Wuhan Nongke Humin Bioengineering Co., Ltd. to jointly research and promote scientific farming and enriching farmers through centipede breeding technology: Humin No. 2 Golden Head Centipede.
Advanced Technology Advantages: Wuhan Nongke Humin Bioengineering Co., Ltd. works with several biological experts and professors of bioengineering from Huazhong Agricultural University. Through years of breeding observation and using advanced purification techniques, they have utilized biogenetic improvement engineering to cultivate a new generation of breeds – Humin No. 2 Golden Head Centipede. After breeding observations, this breed is easy to raise, has a gentle temperament, strong adaptability, grows quickly, reproduces at high rates, has better medicinal value, and offers more significant economic value. It is an ideal investment project for many friends in the breeding industry.
Complete Breeding Facilities: The company leverages its agricultural science advantages and life sciences characteristics, relying on experts and scholars from the College of Animal Science and Technology. Focused on modern bioengineering, special animal husbandry, and insect resource development, it integrates scientific research, breeding, teaching, promotion, technical services, production, sales, and import-export trade into a high-tech enterprise. It owns large ecological breeding areas, solar greenhouse breeding areas, and greenhouse breeding zones, as well as separate technical training centers, seedling breeding centers, germplasm rooms, incubation rooms, and gene transfer rooms. The foundation is excellent, and the system is complete.
Wuhan Nongke Humin Company: Upholding the tradition of "diligent reading and hard work, establishing oneself to help others," our company takes "scientific farming" as its mission. Guided by the business philosophy of "integrity, dedication, realism, innovation, and win-win," we strive to promote the industrial development of centipede resources. We are committed to providing our fellow farmers with higher-quality, high-yield seedlings, more advanced technologies, and more comprehensive services. Let us keep pace with the times and jointly create a more brilliant tomorrow.

Management of Dormant Centipedes
In the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River region, every November centipedes enter their hibernation period. At this time, the outdoor activities of centipedes gradually decrease, their food intake also decreases, and they gradually move deeper into the breeding soil to build their hibernation nests in appropriate soil layers. As the temperature continues to drop, centipedes completely enter hibernation, not eating or moving. The management during this period is as follows:
1. Feeding
Gradually reduce the amount of feed based on their feeding situation, and preferably add enzyme preparations and yeast tablets with digestive aid functions to the feed to avoid indigestion.
2. Preventing Large Fluctuations in Breeding Temperature
In the early stages of hibernation, it's best to close doors and windows every night and open them briefly at noon when it’s warm. When there are sudden changes in temperature, you can use moderate heating methods to offset the impact. Even after centipedes have fully entered hibernation, the breeding shed should be prevented from cooling down too much. During freezing weather, it is essential to avoid the breeding soil from freezing. You can cover the breeding soil with straw or foam boards and other insulating materials.
3. Maintaining Humidity
Although the physiological metabolism of centipedes during hibernation is low, due to dry winter air, especially in heated breeding sheds where the air is even drier, the moisture in the breeding soil easily evaporates, which could cause the surrounding small environment of hibernating centipedes to become overly dry and lead to water loss within their bodies, causing the hibernating centipedes to wither. Therefore, during hibernation, closely monitor and adjust the humidity of the breeding soil, maintaining it between 15% and 20%.
4. Preventing Rodent Infestation
Since hibernating centipedes have no resistance or escape ability, they are easily attacked by rodents. Therefore, the breeding shed should have sealed doors and windows, and anti-rodent devices should be set up at all possible entry points to prevent rats from burrowing into the breeding soil.
5. Management at the End of Hibernation
When centipedes are about to awaken from hibernation, promptly remove the covering material from the surface of the breeding soil to prevent centipedes from hiding inside after waking up. Simultaneously, clean the breeding shed thoroughly, disinfect the exercise area, feeding equipment, drinking facilities, etc., and prepare for the next year's breeding.
